From Requirements to 3D Concepts

After receiving the client's reference materials and requirements, our design team analyzed the client's preferred visual style, character features, and color scheme. Our goal was not only to recreate the original concept but also to enhance it, ensuring the customized sculptures remained lifelike even on a larger scale. We prepared multiple style options and adjusted details such as facial expressions, head-to-body ratios, and the symbols held by each deity. Once the client confirmed the direction, our team began meticulous 3D modeling.

The 3D models clearly showcased the final proportions of all the figures—rounded faces, vibrant colors, warm expressions, and a unified cartoon style for all four characters. This stage allowed the client to visually see the final effect, provide feedback, and fully confirm the structure before production.

Production of Custom Large Fiberglass Sculptures

With the 3D designs approved, production began. Each custom sculpture was created as a large fiberglass piece, supported by an internal steel frame to ensure long-term outdoor durability. The foam prototypes were carved according to the 3D data, and our artists refined the shapes by hand to keep every curve soft, smooth, and true to the design.

The molds were then made, and multiple layers of fiberglass were carefully applied to achieve the right thickness and strength. When the sculptures were demolded, sanding and surface refinement were carried out to ensure a clean, flawless finish before painting.

The coloring process strictly adheres to the 3D color scheme—gold ingots for the God of Wealth, persimmon red for the God of Happiness, warm peaches for the God of Longevity, and soft tones for the God of Fortune. Every expression and texture is hand-painted, showcasing the characters' vivid and lively expressions.
